Wednesday we picked up David's Mom from the airport after I got off work. She came down for a 4 day visit from Florida. When we got back to Palmdale she took us, and her other son Steve, to Red Lobster for dinner. It was yummy. Katie of course took everyone else's food, although she hasn't had much of an apetite lately, because she's teething :/ But for some reason, she always has room for the yummy stuff! haha. Thank you for treating us Lynn! Also on Friday she cooked Fetticini for David, because he has been asking for it, and of course Mom always makes it best! When David got home we went over there and hung out and had dinner. It was nice :)
Yesterday we went over there again, this time for her birthday dinner. Everyone came over this time. Jennifer made tacos and burritoes for everyone, and Bobby brought a cake home for her. The 3 kids played together, it was a fun night. Lynn brought surprises for each of the kids. Katie and Travis got animal crackers, and Karli got a princess necklace, Jacks, and an Ariel Pez candy. That was nice of her :) Katie carried her box all over the house chomping away. Lynn taught Karli how to play Jacks, and they played for about a half hour while the food was cooking. Then Travis decided he wanted the Jacks too, and carried some around in his train all night. Kids are so funny. I wonder what they're thinking :p She got a lot of nice presents. David and I got her stuff from her wish list, a framed picture of Katie in the Hawaiian dress Lynn gave her for Christmas and a Nicholas Sparks book. She also got 3 more books, a gift card for Linens & Things, a framed picture of all her sons that they took on their Uncle's 80th Birthday. She also got a few matching black frames. I think the highlight of the night was when a moth flew in and everyone freaked out haha. David's brother Peech let it back outside, only to have it stick to Jennifer's clothes without her knowing it, bringing it back inside, and into David's Dad's bathroom with her and Karin in it. LOL. They ran out and made David go in and get it. So funny. Lynn also gave me a replica of a Wal-Mart cart, but Katie's size. Katie likes it so much! She started pushing it around outside while we were saying bye to everyone going up and down the street. Then David put her in the cart and pushed her fast all over the street. She liked it a lot but I couldn't get a good picture of her smiling, because she would get mad whenever David stopped long enough for me to try to get one lol. I'm glad she got a new toy she likes. Now I have to take her outside sometimes so she has room to push it around :p I hope Lynn had a nice birthday :)
