Thanksgiving 2014

We spent the morning with my family, like usual, since we eat early. The kids all played together, and had lots of fun. Little Emma was in the mix as well. She loves playing with the older kids.
I was able to hang out with my cousins too.
I'm glad some of the family was able to come over and spend time with my Grandma. I know she loves having the family together.
Always always thankful for my kids.

We headed over to the Wonser's for dinner. Katie stocked up on olives, haha. She's cute.
Zoey took pictures of everyone around the house.
The older girls thought they were too cool drinking apple cider out of the "big girl" cups haha. Funny watching them grow up, when I met them so young.
We ended the night sitting around the bonfire in the backyard. It was a nice relaxing day/night. I'm glad we are able to fit both families in each year.
I adore holidays. It's nice to get together with everyone and hang out. Even better when the kids get along and have a good time too =)

Thanksgiving School Party

Emma and I joined Katie at her Thanksgiving party. She likes when I go to her school events, and Emma has to tag along because she's too hard for anyone to baby-sit. The teacher was nice enough to share a few snacks with Emma, and she was chowing down.

The snacks were cute, the kids were given the pieces and they "made" them before eating them.
And now, Katie has a week off of school with us =)

Thankful For Girl Scouts

We had a small potluck tonight for our Girl Scout meeting. The kids made a craft telling what they were thankful for this year, and then they were able to get a plate of food to eat. Instead of turkey, our leader Gemma bought fried chicken, hahaha.

Thanksgiving 2013

We continued our tradition of going to the movies on Thanksgiving morning while all the food cooks. This year we saw Frozen. My Mom, Mary, Katie, Emma and I went together. Emma did great, she sat nicely in the movie for the first half, and then fell asleep =) Such a cute Disney movie, about sisters. Katie and I have been waiting for it to come out! It was adorable! After it was over we headed to my Grandma's house for lunch :p

Almost the whole family was here, just missing Desiree's family and Anthony's family. Anthony and Ashleigh took their girls to see Frozen at the El Capitan.
My little family =)
David got mad at me for putting Emma in here, but she liked it, I swear! She was so cute and smiley.
Emma was ready to head over to Dad's family's next!
The adult kids.
The Grandkids.
Emma's 2nd outfit of the day.

Emma's 3rd outfit of the day :p I had so many people buy her outfits, that I had to keep changing her so she could wear them all. She had a very fashionable day.
Thanksgiving was relaxing and nice. We were able to see our families, spend time with the kids, and just be lazy together. Thankful we live by our family so that we have the chance to see them often and spend time with them. I am so thankful this year for all the good that has come. I'm grateful David is home from the Army, that Katie is so smart and sweet and beautiful, that God has finally given me a second child that I have prayed and prayed for over the years, that my Mom is always there for me, that my Grandma is here with us for hopefully many many more years to come, for my house and car and material things, for my life.

Thankful For My Life

For Thanksgiving, I spent the day with my family, the thing I am most thankful for. We started off the day at my Grandma's house. Even my Uncle Tony came down this year, that was nice for my Grandma. Katie had fun playing with his two girls, too.

I'm embarrassed to say, I didn't recognize my cousin Melissa at first! Haha. I thought she was Joe's family or something! Eventually I realized it was her. I haven't seen her in years!

So happy David came with me =) I'm thankful he's out of the Army!

I'm thankful for my crazy Grandma, too!
And most importantly, I'm very thankful for this beautiful blessing God gave me. The light of my life!
After spending the first half of the day with my family, we headed over to David's family's house.

Katie discovered Perler beads today, thanks to Annabelle. She liked them a lot!
My husband is the biggest kid. But at least he's fun! He wrestled and played with the kids, and of course, he was the champion! Katie gave him a good run for his money, jumping all over him though! He did good!

Thankful In Washington Day 6, Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful for my husband, and the opportunity to visit him.
I'm thankful for my daughter, she is my biggest blessing.
I'm thankful for my Mom, who is always there for me.
 I'm thankful for my house.
My car.
The rest of my family.
My friends.
The trips and places I'm able to take Katie to.
My job.
I'm thankful the food came out good on the first Thanksgiving dinner we had without either of our large families.

When my Mom and I went shopping for everything, we decided to get a bag to put the turkey in. David told me that it's going to melt to the turkey and ruin it, but trusted me enough to try it anyway. After dinner was over, he said it was delicious and moist and yummy, because of the bag! Dork. I love him.

My Mom, Katie and I played Monopoly Jr. we bought at a Goodwill for $2 yesterday, while the food cooked.
This was for my Mom lol.
David likes his Mom's Cranberry Fluff, so she gave me the recipe to make it for him.
 Mashed taters.
My Mom's plate. She's a vegetarian, so no turkey for her :p
 Happy Thanksgiving!

Thankful In Washington Day 5

My Mom and I spent the day shopping for Thanksgiving dinner for tomorrow. I also went to a few stores and bought frames and printed pictures so I could decorate David's room a little :p He had pictures I've sent him in the mail, but didn't have any frames to hang them up. We also grabbed Monopoly Jr. so we could play with Katie tomorrow while the food's cooking. Pretty calm day. It rained so we treated ourselves to Starbucks =) I don't know how people live here all year long with this weather! Too gloomy for me. Then at night David, Katie and I went to grab Panda for dinner and just watched tv together. I missed him so much, it's horrible not being able to live with him. Sometimes I regret not going with him, but I'm also thankful we have our house and life in Palmdale that he can come back to when this is all over. Less than a year, I'm so happy!
