Katie's Toy Box

My Mom gave Katie a toy box that she had in my room for a while now. She finally gave it to me lol. It's now in Katie's new room, with all her toys in there. The other day I was sitting in her room with her, playing with her toys, putting her stuffed animals and letting them sit on her chair, and we were taking turns giving them kisses, since that is Katie's new thing she has been doing lately. She loves to give kisses. If you ask her for one, she will plant one on you, it's so adorable :) Anyway, Katie's favorite thing that night, was to climb into her toy box, because that is the fun thing to do. Not to play with the toys outside on the big floor, but to sit IN the box, cramped, playing with whatever toys you're not sitting on. This is how our night went.

First she climbed in.

Then she sat nicely to play.

When she couldn't get back out, Mommy had to help her.

As soon as she was out, she was climbing right back in.

And when Mommy helped her out again, she was so proud and happy :p

Sickies :(

Another reason I haven't been posting lately, we have been sick! Katie got it first, and the poor thing was throwing up for days, it was nasty. She was going in her diaper 15 times a day, the poor little baby :/ Next I got it, threw up a couple times and was better. David got it the night I was feeling better and threw up the whole night. I felt so sorry for them both. Katie just layed around for half the day, just drinking water and laying down, sleeping. I've never seen her so still in my life lol. My Mom watched her for us for a few hours when David and I weren't feeling good, and my Mom put her in chonies to air out her rash she got. She looked so funny and cute in them! lol. She's feeling better now thank goodness. I hope we don't get sick again for a long time! Her rash is now getting a LOT better by the way. It's still a little there, but not as bad. I can now wipe her instead of throwing her in the tub lol. She cried every time I wiped her of course, I know it hurt, so I stopped and gave her a bath instead, putting Desitin on her little hiney after :p

Bathtime Fun

I love giving Katie baths just because she's so cute in them lol. She's so silly. This is back when we were still at my Mom's house. I brought all her bath toys over so she would still have them to play with while we were staying there. She has new crayon toys for the bath, that you can write on the walls with and it washes right off. I thought they were the cutest thing, but of course Katie can care less about them :/ All she wants to do is suck on the thing :/ lol. I think I use them more than she does lol. I write messages on the walls for David and Katie :p I think they're cute. Anyway, Katie is funny in the bath. She thinks the water is so fun. The whole time the water is running, she has her little hands under the faucet, playing with it. I need to buy her more toys soon. I'm sure she's getting bored with hers already. Her new favorite game is dumping everything out of the tub. Her toys, one by one, the shampoo & conditioner bottles, everything and anything in the tub, end up on the floor as she watches it drop. Sometimes I will toss them back in with her, and she looks amazed, like, where did that fly in from? lol.

Our New Apartment

We moved into our new place on the 4th. I still don't have internet/cable, so that's why it takes me so long to post. I have to go to my Mom's to use her computer when I want to blog :p I like our new place enough, mostly just because Katie has her own room, not that all her toys still aren't in my living room :/ She likes to bring them out and watch her cartoons with us. David and I have been watching a whole lot of Disney lately, thanks to little Katie. She has some DVD's (no tv yet remember) that my Grandma and my friend Katherine gave her, so we've been watching those with her in the morning and at night sometimes. Last night I watched Dumbo with her and she danced every time a song came on, it was cute. I need to buy her more, because her 8 or so she has, are getting old! I've seen these movies 100 times when I was a kid, I don't want to watch the same 8 over and over again lol. Anyway, my Mom is helping me decorate Katie's room slowly but surely, she'll have a cute room soon enough. My mom painted a dresser thing for her, and she bought sticky things for the walls, since we can't have anything permanent. I hope it comes out cute, I'll post pictures when we get it together. Our first night in the new place, David ordered pizza since we didn't unpack everything yet, and didn't have the gas on for the stove yet. Katie ate half a slice and some apple juice lol. She liked it :p

Just Cuteness

Desiree bought Katie a few cute shirts the other day, and this orange shirt is one of them. I don't have any orange bows for Katie, so my Mom gave her pigtails to wear. She looks absolutely cute in it. Thanks Desiree! Katie's such a pretty, silly, little girl. She is also...hoggish...haha. She loves to eat. I have a picture of her eating cream of wheat with the cutest smile you've ever seen. Food makes her happy...lol. Makes me laugh. I cannot eat anything without her coming over to me for a bite. But I'm sure it's the same way with most kids. Just makes me laugh. I have only found 1 thing that Katie refuses to eat, and that's Cottage Cheese. She spit it right out when I gave her a bite of mine :p After she ate we went to visit David at his Dad's house and watched tv for a bit and read to Katie. She was happy walking around, eating (again) with Daddy this time, and playing with us. Soon she fell asleep and we got a break to lay down for 5 minutes in peace lol. Only problem was she was on the bed so we had to lay on the floor :/ lol

My Daughter Is In Love With Books

Lately, Katie loves books. She loves when someone reads to her. She has a few books, and she is always bringing them to me to read to her. She likes to turn the pages for me though, so you can imagine how often I ever get to finish a page lol. It's cute though, and I hope she likes them for a long time. It's better than her watching tv :p The other day David came over to see us for a few hours, and Katie and I were outside on a blanket reading together, so I handed him the book and gave him a turn. I just had to take a picture because it was so cute :) I love lazy days when we just hang out and play. Being outside to do it was a plus too. The weather was nice and Katie loves being outdoors. Our only problem was ants :/ My Mom's house has quiet a few right now, since it's summer. I can't wait until they all go away!

Moving

Thursday was our last day in our old apartment building. David, Katie, and I are moving into a 2 bedroom apartment on Monday. For the 4 days in between Katie and I are staying with my Mom, and David is staying with his Dad (My Mom wouldn't let David stay with us because we're not married). That morning we went to Alice's to eat breakfast before the long day of moving. I'm glad we're out of the apartment, I really hated that place. But these 4 days in between are so boring :/ David and I have to "visit" each other at our parents house's...lol. It's weird. All of our things are in my Mom's garage for now. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. David is going to do all the moving, and I'm probably going to be doing all the unpacking :/ Sounds fun.... :/ lol. It'll be nice for Katie to have her own room though. When I start work again in Sept. I want to save up and decorate her room really cute, along with the bathroom. The apartment we WERE in, was not very decorative at all. It was small, and our first, we didn't have much money, and I didn't have the heart to decorate such an ugly place. The counter's were all a yellow-ish color, and there's only so much you can do with that :/ SO. I'm hoping this one will look better. I have already warned David, NO Halo drawing, NO Alkaline Trio poster (those were in our old living room), NO old dusty dirty train in the new bathroom (It's his from when he was a baby), NO boyness basically! lol. It's time for it to look like a family lives there, rather than a bachelor :p

Thanks for reading my blog!
