Pumpkin Patch

Today my Mom and I took Katie to the pumpkin patch in Lancaster for fun. David was working on a table he's fixing up for me. It was a fun day, but kind of cold lol. I was freezing by the time we were ready to go home. Katie had a lot of fun though, so I'm glad we went. I ended up spending $15, but it was pretty worth it. When we got there, we started walking around, looking at the pumpkins. Katie loved the little ones that she could carry. She tried to pick up the heavy ones too, but she just couldn't do it lol. I bought some tickets while my Mom and Katie played with the pumpkins. It was 3 to go on the swings, and 3 to go in the petting zoo, so I bought 12. (They're 85 cents each) So Katie could ride the swings, and so my Mom, Katie, and I could get into the small petting zoo. Katie loved the swings and it was so cute watching her go on it. Last year she was way too small. This year she started laughing when the swings started moving. It was adorable. When the ride was over I went to get her off and she started shaking her head at me haha. I took her off anyway, and we went over to pet some goats. I had some quarters on me so I bought some food for them out of the machine they had there and put it in a bowl they also had available. When we went inside the gate, the goats all came after me, trying to get the bowl. I put it down so one could eat some, and he wouldn't give it back! I finally got it back, half empty, and the goats all started chasing me and standing up real high on me. Scary and funny LOL. I just put the bowl on the floor and got away from there! haha. Funny. After that fiasco we just walked around and let Katie pet them. There were also some bunnies hiding in the hay, probably to get warm. Katie was petting the goats nicely, and having a good ol' time. She kept trying to hug and kiss them, but they kept moving away from her before she got the chance, poor kid. After the goats, I bought 3 more tickets for Katie to ride the swings again since she liked them so much. When the ride was over, she walked around for a few more minutes, then we headed home, we were too cold at that point. Katie knocked out on the car ride home. I'll probably go again with David before it closes. Also maybe with Desiree and Dave Dave. He would have fun there.

Arriving at the patch
She also loved the pumpkins. But some were too heavy lol
Katie was so proud of her Dora shirt. Thanks Auntie Mary :)
Hold my pumpkin please, so I can rideKatie liked the swings a lot
Petting the goat
Katie & her Grandma
Katie's goal for next year. They would only let her on if she could climb up on her own.

Katie Helps Me Do Laundry

When I hang up the clothes and put them away, Katie likes to help. She sits there with me, pulling out all the clothes, and trying them on, while I hang them up. She's a good helper...makes the job go by so much faster... lol :/ She's cute though, so I guess it's okay :) I finally finished hanging up mine and David's clothes (I didn't have enough baby hangers to hang up all Katie's yet) and I saw that she pulled some of her clothes out of the hamper and onto the floor, so when I thought I was finished, I had to go and pick the scattered outfits up off the floor...She's silly :p

100 Years of Disney on Ice

After the small birthday party we had for my Mom, we headed down to Bakersfield for our show. I dressed Katie in a shirt Ashleigh bought her for her birthday. I picked it because it was Mickey & Friends, and since the show was Disney, it matched the occasion lol. It took about 2 and a half hours to get there, but it was relaxing. Desiree had to sit on the floor of the backseat, because we didn't want to take two cars lol. We didn't all fit since we had two carseats :/ Katie fell asleep for most of it, and David was playing with his blocks and Katie's ball. Desiree, my Mom, Mary, and I just talked the whole way up. We stopped by Burger King on the way because I was starving, and then we continued on our way. We got there a few minutes before it opened, so we waited on the steps. When it opened we all went to the restroom real quick after the long trip. There were snacks set up all over the place, yum. They had a cute little set up of Toy Story where you could take a pic with Woody and Buzz, but they didn't come out that great, so we didn't buy them. Even with our cameras they still came out dark :/ We went inside to find our seats and all took pictures with the ice rink and castle in the back, except for Mary who is camera shy sometimes lol. It was cute. Our seats weren't together because we didn't buy the tickets at the same time, but luckily, we were in the same section, 2 rows apart. Some coincidence! I was glad. We were close to the side, but we were pretty close to the ice, so they were pretty good seats. While waiting for the show Desiree, Mary, and I went to buy a snack (pretzels with cheese for Desiree and me, and popcorn for Mary). My Mom bought a snow cone in a Mickey head from a vendor walking around by our seats. The show started and we sat and watched. Katie was clapping and enjoying herself for most of the show. She did get antsy for a while, but she sat down again soon enough. It was so cute to see her sitting there eating popcorn and watching the show, like she's a big girl :p I love the picture I have of it. When it was intermission my Mom and I moved back one row because it was empty except for 2 little girls, and Mary, Desiree, and David joined us, so we were all able to sit together for the second half. David was kind of tired since he didn't sleep in the car, so he was kind of antsy too. They lasted through the show though, and I think they both liked it. Walking to the parking lot we saw a man selling little light up toys and I bought one for Katie and Mary got one for David. They played with them for a few minutes in the car, and then fell asleep for the rest of the drive :) Desiree wanted to sit on the seat to be comfortable, so she sat in his carseat and put him on her lap, until we asked her why the heck she sat in the carseat...then she put it in the back and let David sleep on her, on the seat like a normal person lol. Katie woke up 20 minutes before we got home, but she just sat there quietly, drinking her milk we stopped to get her. It was a fun trip, I hope my Mom had a fun birthday :)

Happy Birthday Mom :)

October 5th was my Mom's birthday. Katie and I missed her Uncle Bobby's birthday because that's when he had his birthday dinner. (His birthday was the 1st but everyone's schedule's were busy.) We went to my Grandma's house around 1 for cake, because we had to drive to Bakersfield after to go see Disney on Ice. She asked for a cake they had at Costco, so that's what she got, but kind of cheap if you ask me lol. I like Cold Stone cakes :p Anyway, when we got there Debbie and Ashley were there too, so they stayed. We were bored with over an hour til we were leaving so we watched the video of Katie getting her ears pierced since my Mom and Mary hadn't seen it yet. After that we did the cake so Dave Dave could have time to take a bath before the show. We sang Happy Birthday and she blew out her candles, only for poor Dave Dave to realize she blew out ALL the candles, and didn't even leave one for him! How dare she! It broke his poor little heart and he cried until Desiree lit two of the candles back up so he and Katie could each blow one out. Of course Katie didn't get it and David got to blow them both lol. He was happy again and we had some cake. She opened her presents next. I bought her a ticket to the Disney on Ice show, a Lowe's gift card, and a frame that says I Love Grandma, with a picture of her and Katie they took at Seaworld together. She also got a gas card, some money to spend at the show, a gift card for the new Claim Jumper that opened out here, and a gift card for clothes. Pretty good. After the cake Ashley and Debbie left, Dave Dave took a shower, and we waited around bored :p

Happy Birthday Karli

Karli turned 6 on October 6th, but they had her party on Saturday, the 4th. They invited some of her friends, and all her family. They barbequed hamburgers and hot dogs and had a Disney Princess cake. Her theme was Hannah Montana. When we got there Katie played on the swing they had. David pushed her and she had fun. Katie's Grandma Lynn brought her and Travis a ball, and Katie was throwing it and chasing it laughing. It was cute, she's a silly girl. I'm glad she had fun playing, and I'm glad the rain let up for a while so she could play outside :) The older girls played a few games, like Pin the Tail on the Donkey, and a game where they danced and froze when the music turned off. Katie tried to join them for this game, but I don't think she totally got it...lol. Karli had a little tantrum at not winning the games, but it passed lol. Little kids are too funny. Dave Dave does the same thing :p They did the pinata, and Katie scored a Tootsie Roll and a lollipop that she went to town on. She loved them both. She had some hot dog, and her first Caprisun juice. I think she liked the chips and candy the best though...haha. She's so funny. When it wasn't raining the kids were outside. Katie loved going down the slide, she went down over and over and tried to climb up it when I wasn't next to her to help her up. I took some video too, but it's on my camera and not my Flip Recorder, so I don't know how to put it on a DVD :/ Maybe I will at least upload it to YouTube soon. She also went up to their dogs and tried to play with them through the fence. She started doing her "bark" and tried to touch them. It was funny. The dog jumped up on the fence and she went back a few steps whining. lol. After she got over it she put her hand through to try to pet them and one of them licked her hand. I'm not sure she knew what to think :p Karli got a lot of nice presents. Mostly Hannah Montana things. A pretty flower comforter that she wanted for her bed. Clothes. Some markers that write on your skin for "fake tattoos". David got her some sheets for her bed, some Disney Princess stickers that go on the wall, and some Model Magic (play-doh that dries after you make your masterpiece haha). I saw a lot of cute Hannah Montana things at Sam's Club, but Karin told David Karli didn't like her :/It was a pretty fun party, the girls had a lot of fun playing together, and Katie liked playing on the swing and slide. My Mom had put her in that Dora vest earlier that day, and Katie was so proud to be wearing Dora haha. Every time I asked her where Dora was, she would smile and point to her vest. It was adorable :)

Chuck E Snooze

I finally have internet again :) So let me blog about my boring days :p haha.

My Mom and I took Katie to Chuck E Cheese over a week ago. She was kind of tired so she wasn't having too much fun. We let her go on a few rides. I put her on the bike that goes high and she looked nervous at first haha. She started liking it after though. I think :p After the rides she watched the show the characters do in the dining room they have there. She liked it and was clapping. It was cute.

When we were about to leave we cashed in her tickets and were trying to choose what to get her. They took like 15 minutes to finally get to us, because some people ordering their food didn't speak English and they only had 1 worker behind the counter. My Mom was all annoyed and embarassing...lolol. Anyway, we finally got her prizes (a crazy straw that I don't think even made it out of my Mom's car that night, and a lollipop that she chewed to the last drop lol). Then the worker gave Katie a free balloon for my Mom's complaining...lol. It was kind of boring, but I guess at least we got out of the house.
