A Disney Day Is A Great Day

As you can see, she is putting her birthday present to good use. She looks absolutely beautiful in her Tinkerbell dress and sparky pink shoes.
Since she is now almost 4, and a big grown up girl, she decided she wanted to give her pass to the lady at the gate.
Lauryn's dream. She loves Pinoke and he's not too easy of a find at Disneyland.
About to wait in line to meet Katie's twin.
Two Tinkerbell's? Take that Vidia!

Katie's first time on the new Little Mermaid ride.
Got to admit, it was pretty cute.
Our next wait was for the parade. Katie was taking pictures of herself to keep herself entertained.
Katie decided she is now brave enough to try Splash Mountain. While I love trying new things with her and having that special experience, I sure do hate water rides. I don't like when my hair gets wet. I don't like when my shoes get wet. And I don't particularly like when my jeans get wet and take forever and a day to dry. But, I love my kid. I love her so very much. So we went on. She got wet. And announced she doesn't want to go on that ride ever again. Did I mention I love my kid? Haha, I'm sure there will come a day when she's ready to give it another shot, and I will be more than willing to be her ride partner, but for now, I'm enjoying the times when I find out we have things in common.
Tinkerbell's just hanging out in her tree house, don't mind her.

The Best Thing About Living In CA

The best thing about living in California? The beaches. To be an hour away from several beaches is something great about life. Katherine had another check to deposit =)

Don't worry, I didn't bury anyone this time.

I'm going to miss Katherine when she goes back to Washington. What a sad day that will be.

Jennifer Is Another Year Older

We always drive down to Jennifer's town for her birthday. It's the one time a year she refuses to drive to Palmdale. She chose a Mexican restaurant to go to and we all met down there.
Katie's photography skills.

After dinner we all headed to Jennifer's for cake and presents.

Someone gave her a card that lights up and sings when you blow on it, Katie thought it was pretty cool.

The Bride

One of Katie's birthday presents was a Cinderella Wedding Dress, with glass slippers, a veil, diamond ring, and bouquet of flowers. She looks like a Royal Princess if you ask me.

Happy 4th Birthday Katie!!

My daughter is about to be 4. Crazy. We celebrated a little early this year, so her cousins could be part of her special day. We rented a party room over at Adventure City down in California City. We didn't invite everyone, because we knew most people wouldn't want to make the commute. David's Dad was the first to say he wouldn't want to drive that far, but we still wanted to take Katie for her birthday, so we resorted to doing 2 parties for her. One with my family, and one with my husband's. So we invited my family, David's Mom, and a few friends to come along, and Katie really enjoyed herself. I love when she has fun days.
Not quite sure why the birthday button at Party City had "Dream Girl" written on it, but hey, I went with it.
This little Taxi will drive the birthday girl over to the party room. Pretty neat way to make them feel special.
I bought all the Rapunzel plates and cups and such, to keep a theme for her.
I think this is the first time we didn't get a Cold Stone or sponge cake for her birthday. This is just Wal-Mart I believe. Came out very pretty.

Happy Birthday To You!
*Making a wish*
Blowing them out!
Love the Disney dresses she got for her birthday. So pretty, and great for our Disney trips.
Another perk for having a birthday at Adventure City, the birthday kid gets to sit up front on the train, with the conductor. Choo Choo!
She's so brave going on a rollercoaster. Just proves she's growing up. Bittersweet.

This ride she did not care for. She tried it, which I am proud of her for, but I didn't think she'd want to go on twice. And she didn't. Mom's know this stuff.

My friends and their daughters.
Super fun day. The Magic Show, the Petting Zoo, the rides, the people. Katie had a great birthday, thanks everyone!

Chuck E Cheese Please

We have a new Chuck E Cheese in our area. It's in the same parking lot as the old one, except now it's in a bigger building. With new games and new rides for the kids.
Mary prides herself on being a walker/hiker. So when this hamster wheel started going, and David earned a few tickets, Mary knew she could win the jackpot.
Except....she ran so fast she tumbled on out of it. Way to win the jackpot!

Thanks for reading my blog!
