SOD!

I received a check from the Palmdale School District, some sort of retirement fund or savings plan they had set up for me. Since I haven't worked there in so long, they sent me papers to fill out to decide if I wanted a check or they'll just keep the money. So of course I wanted it :p David and I thought this would be the best time to get sod for the backyard, while we have the extra money we weren't counting on. His brother Michael came over to help him. I bought Wing Stop for everyone who showed up to watch them work...lol. And for the workers, too :p

 David had put the fence up a week or two beforehand. Looks cute.

In the end, we didn't have enough, we estimated wrong. We'll need to buy more soon. But more than half is covered in grass now, and I'm very excited. Now my plan is to buy the kids a playground for Christmas. A nice big one. Katie wants Monkey Bars and Emma would love a swing. I've been wanting grass in the backyard since we bought the house! =)
