O Christmas Tree, Why Do You Hate Me?

I was baby-sitting the girls, so I took them to Wal-Mart with me to get a Christmas tree. I do not like the fake one David bought us, I like real ones. So since he's not heerree ;) I took the fake one to work for my kiddos to enjoy, and bought Katie and I a real one. I let the girls pick out a few ornaments for the tree, and it looked like we were going to have one pink Christmas tree this year. lol.
My problem. I couldn't get the tree to stay up. Thankfully when Anthony came to pick up the girls, he offered to go get me a new, bigger tree stand. So I gave him my card and he set it up for me when he got back too =)
He even helped me put the lights on. Then Katie and I were able to decorate it with our ornaments.
 My little superstar.
Picked this up while we were visiting David in Washington.
"Reading" her autograph book in front of the tree.
I love Christmas. Glad Katie has a tree. Now time for presents to go under it!

Decorating My Classroom

I had to hurry and get my room ready for Christmas, so we could have Santa come in our classroom after the class performance, and have a pretty background for photos. Katie was with me of course, so she posed for me after we finished =)

Yo Gabba Gabba Party!

Katie and I got invited to a birthday party. Someone I went to school with had a son turning 1 and sent us an invitation in the mail. I figured why not? Katie likes birthday parties. The invitation  requested we wear a Yo Gabba Gabba color since that was the theme, but I did one better and ordered us character shirts. I asked Katie which one was her favorite and she said Plex. Didn't even know she knew his name, she's only seen the show once or twice, she never really got into it. She was more of a Wubbzy girl.
She had fun in the bouncer.
Played pin the eye on the red guy. lol, I don't know his name :p

 Coloring contest.
And the pinata! Girl has a good arm!

A group shot. The birthday boy's Grandma sewed character aprons for her daughter and all her friends to wear to the party. Katie joined in on the mix since she matched :p
Pretty fun party. She put a lot of effort and money into it, so many personalized decorations and details. I'm glad Katie had a fun time, I wasn't sure since the birthday kid was a 1 year old boy who she'd never met before, but she did good =)

Katie's Preschool Christmas Program

Katie's preschool class put on a Christmas performance for the parents. They sang a few songs up on stage in their fancy Christmas clothes. They had been practicing for a while at school. Katie looked like a beautiful angel.
 She was having fun.

The hand movements for the song they were signing, so cute!
After the show was over, her teacher handed out candy canes to the kids for doing a good job. Needless to say, Katie was excited to get one.
She did a good job, really cute. I love going to her school events.

Thankful In Washington Day 8, Going Home

We left Saturday morning to go back to California. It's never going to be easy saying bye to David. I'm going to miss him every day.
The scenery was pretty to look at on the drive home.
Katie was a model kid, once again. She played her games, slept, didn't cry or anything. I'm so proud of her for doing so well trapped in a car for so long.

The drive home was a little scary. When we drove through Sacramento, the fog was so bad I could barely see the car in front of me. I was driving nicely along, going very slow while my Mom tried to sleep, but as soon as she noticed the fog, her sleeping went out the window. All she did was harrass me to be careful the rest of the way through Sacramento until the fog lifted and I was able to drive more than 5mph. We had every intention of pulling over and getting a hotel for the night, like we did on the way up. But when we were 3 hours from home at 10pm, we were too tempted to just drive straight home, into our own comfy beds, and knowing we would be able to sleep in and be lazy all of Sunday if we did. Temptation won. It felt so good to crash in my own bed.

Thankful In Washington, Day 7, Black Friday

Today we wanted to go see Seattle before we had to head back to California. The only problem, we didn't think about Black Friday. Crowds, ahh! While we waited to leave, we decided to be cute and take some pictures together.

The streets were so pretty at night.
We found the very first Starbucks and HAD to go there.

My Mom bought mugs for my Aunt and herself.
Mugs that say, The FIRST Starbucks! lol.
I bought a Caramel Brulee, but my picture came out blurry =/
We had fun walking around Seattle, but we didn't buy anything on Black Friday except for lunch and coffee, lol. It was nice to get out and explore though. I'm sad this is my last night with David. I'm going to miss him terribly. We probably won't see each other again until he gets out in June. 7 more months, I can do this. =(

Thanks for reading my blog!
