Thankful For Preschool

Learning Tree Preschool invites the parents to have Thanksgiving lunch with their kids every year. Since I was working in my own class, my Mom and Mary went to Katie's. I caught Katie in the bathroom and snapped a quick picture with her though.

 Then my Mom took over my camera and got a few memories of Katie's first school Thanksgiving for me.

Katie's First Purchase

I have a deal going with Katie right now. Every day that her room is clean, I give her a dollar. She's been saving up for about a month and a half to buy this Dora doll. She wanted it so bad! Today she was finally able to buy it, and boy was she happy! Lets see if she continues to clean her room now that she's already got what she wanted! :p

Katie's First Field Trip

Katie went on her first field trip! They went to Stater Bros. They all got their matching yellow handkerchiefs on so they could be spotted easily, and were on their way.

 She brought back a bag with chips, string cheese, a memo pad, a pencil, and balloon home.

I asked her if it was fun, but she said they just looked at a bunch of boring machines. lol. Oh well, still cool. I wish my class could have gone so I could have seen her first field trip.

Just Another Day At Work

Katie's class gets to combine with mine in the afternoon, and I watch all the kids until they go home. I love when she gets to come into my classroom. We go outside and play in the afternoon. Katie likes it.

Of course I have to watch all the other kids too, but Katie will always be my favorite student ;)

Katie's Dance Partner

Katie and my co-workers son, Jaren, were playing dress up while we waited for all my preschoolers to get picked up for the night. They ended up dancing together like Prince and Princess. So cute! Glad I get to spend time with her at work since we're there all day! I love her so much!

Obviously Katie had to quit her other preschool. I didn't want her to be in school from 8-6, so she just goes to preschool at my work now, in the 4 year old class next door to me.

Bear Bottom Pjs

My Mom went on a camping trip and brought Katie back a pair of pajamas. I had Katie put them on so I could take a picture and show my Mom. Then the girl started posing for me. Haha. She is so darn cute. I love her personality.

A Few Rides For Katie

Once a year or so, a small carnival comes to the VONS parking lot. Katie saw it while driving by, so I let her go on a few rides. 

It's nice to be able to let her have some fun when we can. I know that with me working now, it's getting pretty tough for her. We used to be home together all day, she got out of school at 11. Now I work until 6pm. Makes me sad. But at least she's allowed to come to work with me. Which isn't completely a good thing since it also makes me sad that she's at "school" all day, even if I am able to be there with her.
