Rise Of The Jack O' Lanterns

I saw tickets on Groupon, for Rise of the Jack O'Lanterns. It looked pretty cool for only $12. I've never heard of it before, but I read online that they carve over 10,000 pumpkins, to look like celebrities, video games, spiders, dinosaurs, all kinds of things.
Katie was assigned her Girl Scout troop's Brownie Elf this week, so we brought her with us on our trip, too. Katie had fun for the first 20 minutes, then she dumped her in the stroller for the night.

Some of the pumpkins were really cool looking. Of course they had Frozen pumpkins. Katie liked those ones a lot.
All in all, I would say it was fun, and really neat to see all the carvings. BUT, on the other hand, it was VERY crowded and hard to even walk to the next exhibit. Add a stroller in the mix and it was just annoying. I'm not sure we'll go again next year. Maybe if they limit the number of people that go in at once, or something.
I was really glad my Grandma went with us, she doesn't usually go places. It was nice having her there and spending time with her =)

A Beautiful Garden & KidSpace

My Mom, Katie and I went to a pretty garden to walk around and take pictures. Katie picked her beautiful butterfly dress to wear.

Of course I brought my tripod!

Once Katie got bored with the garden, we moved on to KidSpace, a children's museum.

Before we left I bought a little caterpillar to take to work, so my class could watch it turn into a butterfly. It had little air holes in the top, and the stuff on the bottom was food for it to eat in the next few weeks. It's so tiny!
Pretty good day off work =)

Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens

I found a pretty garden place and I wanted to go! I thought it would make for some pretty pictures of my beautiful girl. She picked a beautiful dress to wear and she was excited to see all the flowers.

Magnetic dust that they had in the kid's area to play with.

After the garden, we went to have dinner at Islands.
The pictures came out really cute, but gosh Katie was pretty bratty! I think I should have brought a stroller for her. I can only assume she was tired and it made her cranky. I had a fun day though, and the flowers were so pretty, I'm glad I got my Mom and Mary to go with me. Can't forget to mention Mary dragged Blake into the mix and he wanted to go home!!! Haha. Other than that, we had a nice day :p

Thanks for reading my blog!
