"Pop's" 64th Birthday

We all went over to Bobby and Christy's to celebrate David's Dad's (Pop's) 64th birthday. The kids all played outside for the most part.

For dinner he requested Preston's famous chicken. So that is what he got.
I offered to buy the cake for him, and when I asked him what flavor he'd like he wrote back "chocolate chocolate." So my Mom told me, Costco has this really chocolately 900 calorie a slice cake you can get. I went over there to find it, and I think I found a winner. The bakery was closed, so I couldn't get them to write on it for me, so I had to resort to the colorful candy letters instead. Still cute. And, his Dad LOVED it. Seriously thanked me 3 or 4 times, and also e-mailed David over in Korea to let him know that it was a good cake. A+
The kids helped blow out the candles.
After dinner, the kids went downstairs to play Spongebob Cranium or whatever. I helped read the cards and stuff for Katie and Travis. Or else they would lose every time. Sad. lol

Another Ballerina Day

My Mom found a few ballerina outfits at a yard sale. Katie picked this one to wear to class today. I love her.

Mother's Day on the Queen Mary

I try to make Mother's Day at least a little cool for my Mom, since she's so awesome to me and all. But I do find it hard to come up with cool things to do, or at least fun things to do. It seems like we've done all there is to do in California, and my budget doesn't exactly allow me to travel the world. But then I thought, hey! She's always wanted to go on the Queen Mary. That leads me to the QueenMary.com. I found out we can do dinner on the Queen Mary. They had a few options to choose from. Did I want to pay less and do a buffet, or pay more and have a fancy dinner for Mother's Day? I chose Sir Winston's. I told Mary about it to see if she wanted to tag along too, since Desiree's over in New Mexico for Mother's Day.
When we got there we walked around a bit, looking for the right restaurant, and of course took some photos. I was just happy to still fit into a dress I bought when I was 17. Go me!
There were 2 types of salads we could choose from, for our first course. Obviously, we picked the wrong one, haha. The other table had one that looked much....fuller? More ingredients? More...better? lol. We also got a French Onion Apple Tart soup (or something like that) but I forgot to take a picture of it. I gave mine to Katie, and she actually ate some of it, like the big bread part that was floating on top. haha.
They gave these to us to wash down the salad, before the main course came. The nice part? They gave Katie her own, even though technically she just shared everything else with me, because she's little and in no way going to eat 90% of this food.
Blake and I ordered this. I believe it's tri-tip. Can't remember now. It came with a purple potato that weirded us all out, to the point where each of us HAD to try a bite, just to see.
My Mom and Mary ordered the vegetarian dish.
Chocolate breaded pudding I think, with a teaspoon of mocha ice cream. This was choice #1
And a fruit dessert was choice #2. Of course my Mom and Mary picked this one :p
Katie, on the other hand, was very glad I picked the chocolate one as my dessert. Yum!
Usually restaurants will give you mints with you bill. This place gave us these. They were delicious!
Another great part of the day, there were only 1 or 2 other families in there. So it was nice and quiet too. Pretty fancy, pretty fun, pretty cool to mark something off my Mom's bucket list.

Happy Mother's Day Mom! Thanks for everything you do for us! I hope you had a good day! I sure enjoyed it!

Disneyland with Izzy!

Hooray for going to Disneyland with friends. Katie and I were able to be part of Izzy's first trip to Disneyland when her Mom Katherine was down visiting for a bit. I love when she visits.

The saddest thing to happen to us? That was the last time we saw Katie's autograph book. She lost it somewhere between getting Goofy's signature, and visiting Mickey's house. It had photos and old autographs in it from other visits. Boy were we bummed.

Overall, really fun day for the kids. I think the Princess', rides, and snacks are what it's all about for them.

Hollywood Bound

My Mom and Mary took Katie hiking to the Hollywood sign while I was stuck in class at AVC. Was I jealous? Pretty much. But Katie had a lot of fun, so I'm glad about that.

Meanwhile, In Korea...

David tells me this is a famous band in Korea. Now he's a little more famous than he was yesterday. haha.

My Mom and Katie

This is what my Mom and Katie do when they have the night together. Build cool towers and play dress up. Katie loved it.

Thanks for reading my blog!
