Girl Scout Pizza Party

The Girl Scouts had a small end of the year pizza party at Shakey's, to celebrate their bridging. Katie' so excited to be a Brownie, but also excited for any fun activities we'll be able to do this summer with the Girl Scouts. We had a fun year, excited to see what's next, with our new leader Gemma!

First Grade Carnival

Katie's school had their annual school carnival, to celebrate school ending for the year. It's pretty neat for the kids to have. They give them free snacks (popcorn, nachos, ice cream, snow cones, cupcakes, juice, etc) and have games set up around the field for them to play. You can bring money to try and dunk a teacher in the Dunk Tank, and just walk around hanging out with everyone. We've never stayed the whole time, and had lunch with the class, but we've always enjoyed walking around for a few hours together, doing everything.

Jennifer's Birthday Dinner

We drove out to Jennifer's to celebrate her birthday. They bought yummy sandwiches for everyone, and we all hung out together and enjoyed the night.

Emma really likes Zoey it seems, but Zoey is still a little wary of her, lol. I think Emma is amazed by any kid right now, she thinks they're all her friends :p

Happy 6th Kayle!

Katie was invited to Kayle's 6th Birthday at Drytown Water Park. It was a fun day hanging out with Katie's friends. Abby, her bestie, was also invited and came to swim. Katie had a lot of fun! Emma and I tagged along too, but thankfully we all had passes and were cheap to invite ;)

Emma isn't used to being at Drytown for more than an hour or two, so she got pretty wiped out and took a little nap on me, even through the Lazy River, she stayed asleep!
My Mom showed up later to swim with us, too. Fun day! Thankful for friends =) Katie loves having someone to play with. Emma just doesn't cut it for her yet, lol.

A Very Merry Unbirthday

Katie's school did their usual, Unbirthday party, for all the kids that have birthdays in the summer and don't get to have a party at school during the year. They played hangman, and let the summer birthdays go up and pick a word, Katie was SO excited to get to go first. She picked a movie, "The Incredibles."

When we got home, we had a lazy afternoon hanging around together. Emma was enjoying the big ball. lol.

No More Daisy

Katie had her Daisy graduation today! She is officially going to be a Brownie when the summer is over. New uniform, new patches, new lessons. Pretty exciting stuff. The graduation is called "Bridging" and the girls walk across a real bridge as they journey on to be a Brownie.

I bought Katie the Brownie sash, because that's what the other girls were ordering, but I am going to buy the vest instead, it will hold more patches, and looks nicer I think.

Good job, pretty girl! Glad you enjoyed your year as a Daisy =) I had fun with you!

DCS Night At Jethawks

Katie's school was selling tickets to the Jethawks for $5, so I figured, why not? We had fun last time we went. I bought 3, so my Mom or David could come with us. David declined, so I invited my Mom. They had a special going, the first 1000 guests received a hat, and Katie and I were given one. My Mom was rushing from work, so she was too late to get one =/ Katie didn't wear hers though, so my Mom took that one. It was a nice night out.

We ate, snacked, and had fun!
My Mom wanted to try this pose...haha. Like the Lion King :p
By the end of the night, we were playing catch with a ball Katie found, that my Mom said was thrown from the field. Not sure if I believe her completely...lol. Katie was having a blast though, and every time they threw the ball, Emma burst into giggles. It was the cutest thing. Love them both so much. Who knew taking 2 girls to a baseball game would be so much fun?
