It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

I took my last final of the semester (so relieved!) while my Mom watched Katie. They spent the morning playing together and when I got home David surprised me by hanging our stockings up. We don't really have anywhere to put them, so he hung them on our wall. I need a new one for Katie though, since hers says "My 1st Christmas" and it's now her second :) Not only did David surprise me with the stockings, but he also finally brought over the table he sanded and stained for me. I had been letting the apartment go this past week, because I have been SO busy with my homework and finals, so when I got home from my last one, I CLEANED. I cleaned the living room, I did dishes, I scrubbed the stove down, it felt nice to have it clean :) I told David I wanted to get a tree since the house was clean and we can make it look Christmas-y in here finally. David and I took Katie to Wal-Mart and bought a fake tree (my first fake one ever :/) that came with lights already on it. We didn't want to deal with the hassle this year, with the needles all over the floor and trying to drag a huge tree through our small apartment. It looks really nice though. David set it up while I wrapped the rest of our presents, and I hung ornaments on the tree when it was ready :)Of course, now that it's all set up, all Katie wants to do is mess it up :/ I've caught her more than once playing with the ornaments, trying to pull them off. She is also into my presents. She loves ripping all the bows off :/ Oh well, I guess everyone will be getting plain wrapped presents this year haha, no ribbon or bows :pWe were going to visit David's Dad again, but before we did I made them pose for pictures for my blog haha. They came out cute. Katie is getting so much bigger. I told her to say "cheese" and she did a cute smile for the camera :) I'm a little sad my tree is fake, but it's still nice. I've finished school for the semester, I've gotten all my presents for everyone, and the tree is up. Now all I have to do is relax and wait for Christmas. We decided that this year David, Katie, and I will be spending Christmas Eve with my family, and Christmas Day with David's. My Mom and Mary's idea. But I do feel bad my Mom will be alone on Christmas :/ Sorry Mom, but it was your guys' idea to do it this way... :/ I can't wait for Christmas Eve :) Katie's going to be adorable :p
