Now It Feels A Little More Like Christmas

So we got the tree, and the presents, and we were lucky enough to get snow! But it still just wasn't quite feeling like Christmas yet to me. But tonight my Mom, Mary, Katie, and I went to see some Christmas lights, and it got me a little more into the holiday spirit. It wasn't Candy Cane lane where we used to go before I had Katie, but it was still cute. It was one street that was decorated in Lancaster near the college. There were lots of cars lining up to drive down the street and look at the pretty lights. We wanted to walk and take pictures though, so we parked across the street and headed over there. Some of the houses were really cute! Katie was trying to touch some of the decorations, but Mary kept getting her. My Mom was pushing the stroller and recording with the Flip, and I was taking pictures, so Mary had Katie most of the night lol. She's good with her though, she has more patience than I do, that's for sure! lolI cannot tell you how many times Katie tried to go up their driveways! It was cracking us up! As soon as Mary would get her down, she would turn around and Katie would be halfway up again. It was too funny! She must have snuck up one of the driveways at least 4 times, with Mary getting her down each time. She's quick and determined!Of course I wanted to be in some of the pictures with Katie too, so I had Mary snap a couple in front of some of the houses :) Katie wasn't always willing to smile for the camera because she was too busy looking at all the decorations around her, but I still took the pics :pOne of the house had a big bubble snow globe that had Santa and his reindeer going around and around, and Katie got excited when Santa would come around again. She likes Santa from afar. And toy Santa's. When she sees him in person she gets scared of him :pKatie ended the night wrapped in a blanket, getting carried to the car. She had a lot of fun looking at the lights, even if it was only one street :p She enjoyed herself. But it was cold and walking gets her tired. On the way home we stopped by Wendy's and my Mom and Mary got Root Beer Floats while I got a cookie dough Frosty to share with Katie. She liked it so much she hardly let me get a bite :p She wanted it all for herself haha. It was a fun night! I'm glad I went. I just wish I had a better jacket. It was cold! :p Maybe next year when she's older we'll go to Candy Cane Lane and see tons of decorated houses :)
