After the snow continued to fall steadily until about 10pm, the next morning we woke up to a white town. Every roof, every street, every dirt field-all white with snow. It was very pretty! When Katie woke up I got her ready in her snow outfit again and we headed to the horse trail to sled down the hills. We had to go up a big hill to get to the spot we were in, and gosh it was hard carrying Katie. Thank goodness my Mom and David were there to help, haha. I couldn't do it for very long :p
When we started playing, Katie didn't care for it much. She didn't smile or play :/ She went down on a sled with my Mom for about 2 feet, then it stopped lol. I think the hill she tried to go down was too small :p
Desiree also took her down but she looked scared and nervous. When David took her for her last time, the snow just happened to spray in her face the whole way down, so she really wasn't happy about it! Poor little girl :/David realized what was happening about halfway done and tried to block her face, but the damage had been done. She was cold and scared, lol.
Dave Dave LOVED it and cried when we had to go home. I kind of just hung out and recorded it all with my Flip. I don't really like the cold, I wasn't about to touch the snow and make my hands frozen. It's just pretty to look at and take pictures in. I watched everyone else and laughing when they fell. Like when Blake tried to go down the side of the hill, where there was deep fresh snow, and as soon as he sat on the sled he sunk 3 feet. Made me crack up!
It was a fun morning. Sometime during it my Mom slid and fell down, I JUST missed it with my camera, too funny!
It was relaxing, but at the end the kids were getting tired and it was time to go! David cried the whole ten minutes walking to the car lol. Poor kid kept wanting to go down the hill ONE more time :p I'm glad we got cute pictures :) I wish it would snow in Palmdale every year :)
The boys tried to be cool and find a better place to go down, but in reality, all the snow outside the trail was filled with bushes and trees, so it wasn't really safe. I heard Blake even walked right into a bush, not seeing it in time haha. I'm glad everyone had fun though! David wanted to stay longer too, being a boy, and wanting to go down the hills more, and find better, bigger ones. But it was time to go! I was cold and my Mom had to go back to work after taking a 3 hour lunch break :p
